Many thanks to our members!

Without the generosity of our members, we could not fulfill our mission of preserving and promoting Bastrop's rich history. Thank you.

Members of the Month

The Bastrop County Museum & Visitor Center is strengthened by members who invest in preserving our shared heritage. Each month, we celebrate two members whose generosity helps keep Bastrop County's stories alive.

Classic Bank Bastrop.jpeg

This month, we're proud to recognize Classic Bank for their generous support of the Bastrop County Museum & Visitor Center! Classic Bank's story began in 1889 with the founding of First National Bank of Cameron. More than a century later, the bank continues to build relationships and serve communities across Central Texas. In 2007, First National Bank in Cameron became Classic Bank, carrying its longstanding tradition of community banking into a new chapter. Classic Bank became part of the Bastrop community in 2008 with the opening of a loan processing office, which became a full branch the following year. Today, their commitment to community investment continues through programs that support local organizations and charitable causes. We're grateful to have Classic Bank as a Member of the Month and for their support of our mission to preserve and share the history of Bastrop County through exhibits, educational programs, collections, and community events. Thank you for investing in the people, places, and stories that make Bastrop County so special.

Born and raised in Austin, Michelle Graham has a deep appreciation for the history and stories that make Central Texas special. Earlier this year, she was introduced to the Bastrop County Museum & Visitor Center by the President of the Board of Trustees, Glenda Dayton. She enjoyed a tour of the museum's exhibits. That experience gave her a new appreciation for the history preserved within our walls and the importance of sharing those stories with the community. She is delighted to support the museum and be part of its mission to preserve and promote Bastrop County history. As she continues to visit, she finds herself learning something new each time, making the museum a meaningful connection to the history of the region she has always called home. We are grateful for her support and for helping us preserve the stories of Bastrop County for generations to come. Thank you for helping us connect Bastrop County's past to the stories of today.
