Every September, museums throughout the Austin area open their doors for Austin Museum Day, inviting the public to explore local history, art, culture, and more at no cost.
The Bastrop County Museum & Visitor Center is proud to be a participating museum and will welcome visitors Sunday, September 20, from 11 AM–2 PM with free admission. Bring the whole family, gather your friends, and spend the day discovering local history.
September 20 is also your last chance to experience Soul Circuit: Juneteenth Rodeos in Texas before the exhibit returns to Humanities Texas. Don't miss this powerful look at the history, traditions, and legacy of Juneteenth rodeos across Texas.
