Visitor Center Associate

The Bastrop County Museum & Visitor Center is seeking a Visitor Center Associate who is organized, collaborative and passionate about assisting visitors traveling to Bastrop County. The Visitor Center Associate welcomes and assists guests by providing accurate, up-to-date information about Bastrop’s attractions, historic sites, events, and amenities. This part-time role (including weekends) supports an excellent visitor experience by answering questions, giving directions, handling phone inquiries, assisting with retail sales, and maintaining a clean and organized center. The associate represents BCHS as a heritage tourism resource, records visitor statistics, and performs light clerical tasks. Ideal candidates are customer-service oriented, knowledgeable about Bastrop County history, comfortable with technology and POS systems, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
