About the event
On Saturday, November 1, the Bastrop Cultural Arts Commission and Downtown Bastrop invite the community to come together for the Día de los Muertos Honor Walk, a meaningful evening dedicated to remembering and honoring loved ones who have passed. The Bastrop County Museum is honored to be a part of this deeply meaningful event.
From 6–8 PM, community members are invited to bring the name of a loved one and take part in a special walk through downtown Bastrop. The evening begins at the Bastrop County Museum & Visitor Center, home to the annual Día de los Muertos Community Display, before continuing through downtown to local businesses and stores hosting their own ofrendas.
Along the way, participants will have the opportunity to view the different ofrendas, leave messages in remembrance of loved ones, and experience the many ways our community honors those who came before us.
