Grand Opening of the Dia de los Muertos Display

The Grand Opening of the Dia de los Muertos Ofrendas Display has been postponed until Friday, 10/9!

Celebrate with us the grand opening of our Día de los Muertos display, featuring beautiful ofrendas created by families from across Bastrop County, along with a community ofrenda where everyone is invited to leave a message or token honoring a loved one who has passed. The grand opening will feature live music, speakers, refreshments and the families who created the ofrendas.

Admission to the exhibit is free, recognizing its unique role as a community space to remember, honor and celebrate those we have lost.

Join us as we open the doors to one of the museum’s most beloved traditions. Be among the first to experience the beautiful ofrendas, meet the families who created them and contribute your own remembrance to the community ofrenda.
